          Have done more research and discovered the church was built in the Baroque period in the 17th century and the town hall is 500 years old! Mettenheim itself existed as early as 765 and was part of the lands held by the Counts of Leiningen who once had a castle ...

          Searching for hotels turned up several in towns like Osthofen and Worms but nothing in Mettenheim. Then, while studying a Google Map to find the Mettenheim Evangelical Church, I found an icon for a winery that operated a guesthouse, Monteurzimmer-Ferienwohnung Sonnenhof.
