... usually have been a lot more for us Toubabs! Had lunch with the girls in Dakar and then I headed back up to St Louis in time for work on Monday. Would have loved to continued onto casamance with the other girls but only got one week left and needed to get back to the Daara!
Probably my last entry before I leave for the UK on Sunday! Cant believe it is almost over!

Tivemos de rolar a uma velocidade ridiculamente baixa entre os 10 e os 30 kmh ao longo de 300 km e isso, mais um furo num dos pneus, fez com que levassemos 36h até Dakar. 40 postos de controle no caminho e a cada vez que nos aproximassemos transformava-me numa mobilia coberta pela kanga verde que a minha mãe me cedeu para a viagem e que tem sido de uma utilidade infinita.

... I've been given a history book to look at to prepare for tomorrow. I'm going to prepare it really well with activities and everything for the kids. It was good but just a shock to get thrown in when I dont know the syllabus or anything, but I'm sure I will get better. School fin ishes at 1 mon tues and fri. I can either start some after school stuff or go and help out with street kids, thinking I may do a bit of both...

... picked up a bug from the pizza bar.... i have eaten there before and its been ok, so dunno .... anyway - bad night, sweats, felt more like a virus than food poisonning, but can't think how. anyway. slow day .... satyed in bed a lot and drank lots and lots of water, and listened to the world service .... which i listen to a lot here. early bed, long long sleep .... woke up groggy monday morning but good enough to go to the office so dragged myself in.

Today we went back to Somone to bring Sidy back there. Once arrived we left him go to work while we'd go to the Lagoon. After a quick picnic we had a long bath in the very hot water.
