... stocked. We returned to Geneva in the afternoon by which time the roads had been shut so an enormous traffic jam made it slow progress but eventually we parked the car and Graham racked his bike and went for a practice swim. ... br> Rami and I had a quick wander around the town after nightfall and admired the pretty lights on the buildings and the nice reflections. Earlier we had been watching a

So endeth our stay in the Alpine regions. Tomorrow Provence!

Cue the alarm at 7am this morning to meet with everyone for our bus to Gruyère. Never in my life have I ever missed my winter coat more. I have been perpetually freezing since being here, and have been sleeping under my sheets in my hostel sheet for added layers. But that's a different story. With the temperature hovering around 0 degrees C, we bundled up and set out for ...

... to buy tickets we learned at the ticket booth that our kids were too small to do it.

So we then rushed to the other main attraction in town. The Montevers train station that takes you to the base of a glacier and the mountains up 2000 feet. I didn't think it would be that great, and tickets were expensive, but we'd come all the way, so why not?

It turned out to be a great decision. The train turned out to be this little old red ...
