Hi everybody, instead of travelling all the time and giving you all the impresion, we never stay in Liberia, this entry should proof the other extreme! After returning from our great easter week in Nicaragua we finally got a little more settled down here in Liberia, that seems more like being in Africa instead of a green and lush jungle. It was a pleasant walk around the place and I also saw some nice birds (red-legged honey creeper) as well as a sloth and some incredible flowers. Besides these adventures, I spent most of my time in Fortuna just relaxing and taking care of a few chores...like getting my teeth cleaned. And then it was time to head to Alajuela to meet the kids!

... un mini cratère, du souffre un peu partout, une cascade asséchée, plein de végétation. Très sympathique malgré le fait qu'on pensait voir de la lave en fusion, mais non. Tant pis c'était très bien quand même. Il nous reste plein de temps, on part alors sur un sentier de 5km qui mène à la cascade del Cangrejo. Superbe chemin offrant des traversées de forets, et de pampas alternées avec de magnifiques points de vue pour arriver finalement sur la plus belle cascade ...

As I wandered back to the entrance the sky which had been threatening and gray all day finally let loose but I found the downpour refreshing and it made the canopy all the more atmospheric under the gentle patter while the numerous rivers turned to clear raging torrents whose water I found to be refreshingly potable.
