Absolutely Loved the Cancun Palace
I thought that the Cancun Palace was amazing. I saw plenty of pictures of it on the internet but i did not expect it to be nearly as beautiful as it was. When we were driving up to the hotel i was shocked at how pretty the grounds were in front of the hotel. Then, when I walked in I loved it even more, the lobby was pretty and full of other teenagers (I was there for senior spring break). The pools were also very pretty as well as the beaches. All of the workers that I encountered were friendly and they were always on top of cleaning up the rooms. I thought the food was good as well. I had no complaints about the noise and I heard that they warned certain rooms that were being loud so as not to bother the other visitors. All in all i had a great time and i love this hotel...I am going back there next year. :-)
All Parties are in Cancun Palace!
Cancun Palace was great! As we were standing in line, some ladie came up to us and offered all of us some champaigne to welcome us. When we got to our room, me and 3 of my friends were very pleased. We had a hot tub right in our room. During the day, they have all kinds of activities and diferent stuff to do. They grill out hot dogs adn hamburgers and chicken sandwiches for lunch. (I never woke up in time to see waht was for breakfast) And at night the party started. At around 7 o clock they bring out some grills and they grill out steaks , chicked, ribs, fish and every other meat u can think of. One night i had 4 filet minouge steaks. If i ate that every night taht would almost pay for teh trip itself. After u ate u can grab a drink and head into teh lobby where they have kareoke and dancing. If you are lookin for a good time and partying, go to cancun, especially Cancun Palace, if u want to have peace and quiet go to Kentucky and see Abraham Lincoln's Home town! All Partiers........GO TO CANCUN!!!!!!!
Nice and quiet
We went to Cancun palace for our honeymoon...we were each greeted with a frozen beverage that we were very impressed with. The staff was friendly. The only complaint I had was that the marble floors were very slick, I almost fell a few times when I was wearing my flip-flops. Definately would like to go back.
If u go, send a message to Pinky
This was my 3rd time visiting in Cancun. Now i want to move there. My family and I are members with the palace resorts, so we try and go there as often as possible. If anyone reads this in hope to find out more info about the hotel, it was awsome and would recommed it to anyone. If you do in up staying at Cancun Palace please tell Pinky (the lobby bar tender) Jessica misses him so very much, and will return a.s.a.p.
Best vacation of my life!!!
Cancun Palace was a great place to stay. My husband and I stayed there in January 2000. The food was good and the service was great. I loved the all inclusive plan. We layed by the pool and enjoyed ourselves and met many new people. I would love to go again.
Very pleased and would like to go back
stayed at the palace in nov. of 2001....from the time we arrived(my girl and i) everything was lovely.....it wasn't high travel season, so we got personalized service....the all inclusive was the best...although we didn't have any mexican food, we sure got enough of what was offered .....the breeze in the hallway made us really feel like we were in a top notch coastal resort....although our room was on the front corner, we could get a really great view of the ocean every morning....privacy was great.... iwill definately go back to the cancun palace....room service was nice too...oh yeah, bus stop right in front...
Would go again!!
I recently got back from a wonderful Memorial Day week at Cancun Palace. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Pay extra for the superior deluxe room. It doesn't have a balcony like the run of the house rooms but it is huge and has a nice hot tub right next to the bed. The food was great and there was plenty of it. When we went there were a large group of high school students that took over the nighttime activities and crowded the lobby every night. Plus the looby and elevators are not air conditioned. Atleast when I was there. I am going back to Cancun but might look into another Palace property. Only becuase it was overrun with loud teenagers drinking, smoking etc. But besides that we love Cancun Palace. Go when school is in session and you probably won't have to deal with what I mentioned above.
Good, but rowdy
The hotel is very good although a bit outdated decor. The hotel is centrally located. Rooms were acceptable, but there was a smell of humidity in our room and some sewage smell in the corridors at times. However, it was very clean and the service was great. Food at "Las Golondrinas" was excellent but recommend reservations as soon as you get there. During our trip in June 2002, there were a bunch of rowdy High School or College kids during the first part of the week. It appears that of all the Palace Resort Hotels, this is the #1 choice for the young crowd. If you prefer peace and quiet steer clear from this one. They tend to sleep during the day and party all night. Buffet food was acceptable, but it is better at "El Mercado" restaurant than the buffet by the pool.
The Best Time of my Life
I just returned from my senior trip to cancun and stayed at the cancun palace. From the time we arrived to the time that we departed, me and five of my closest friends had the times of our lives. All day long we hung out on the beautiful white sand beach or in one of the three conected pools. It was wonderful. All day they had music and drinks being served to you. There was a buffet going on all day long with ok food. At about six thirty they brought out two large grills and made steaks, chicken, ribs, and salmon. That food was excellent and in plenty. All of the workers there were so nice and so much fun. The drinks were a bit weak, but they'd happily make them doubles if you asked. My only suggestion would be to lock up all of your valuables up in the safe (all the rooms had a safe). The one day I left my money out when the maids came around, 200 pesos got stolen from my wallet. One of my friends got a pair of shoes stolen from his room also. Other than that complaint, the hotel was awsome. We are already planning our trip to the cancun palace for next spring break. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, i wouldn't suggest cancun palace. I wouldn't suggest anywhere in cancun. If you are looking for a place to have an unbelivable time, go to the cancun palace.
we went in the fall, we love it dthe food was \
great, several restarants to choose from, including all other palaces, moon palace had shows.
would recommend it.

... up, we drove into the Cancun hotel zone proper for a look-see. Not surprisingly, it mostly seemed like America, sometimes trashy, sometimes boring. I'm sure several of the hotels are decent if you just sit on the beach, but they seem relatively expensive if that's all you're getting. We saw a Hooter's restaurant and decided that the three weeks backpacking around Spain was the right honeymoon choice for us.
We made it to Cancun! Got our car and made it to our airport without even getting lost! So much more easier to navigate here than Costa Rica! Its so humid out though because of course it has been raining! Im trying to see some clear skies! Think were just gunna hang out here tonite, maybe see the town but nothing too crazy because we have to be up early tomorrow to go to Chichen Itza! Thats all for now ...
