Our first full day in Cuba. We begin with a trip to the Front Desk to see if they have a new room for us. The elevator is still broken and no repair in site. We are told "Come back again tomorrow"! What can we do, this is Cuba and Cuban time. We find the restuarant and experience our first Cuban meal.

... first night we hit the tourist trap pubs - the ones where Ernest Hemingway had his drinks so we could only afford one drink in each pub. For New Years we went to a Gala dinner on the rooftop of a posh hotel, Lobster,Pork,shrimp and wine to beat the band and a few Cuba Libres thrown in, all topped off at 12 with big Cohiba Cigars to the backdrop of canon shots from the castle and fireworks.
