    ... was building a new refinery but when Hugo Chavez died 3 years ago it stopped and has been mothballed. We have a response equipment package at this terminal in the event of a tanker or terminal spill also which was interesting to pass.


    The closer we got to Havana we saw many oil “donkeys” pumping oil from on shore wells many were closed down we also passed a Sherit gas plant ...

    ... and we decided the best thing to do would be get an extra night there on Friday, as we wouldn't need any money. We had some American dollars and euros we were keeping for emergencies and exchanged them (for a huge fee! But we were desperate!).
