The chance of being stuck 700 miles from home for days was a bit unappealing. Laurie said "why don't we push on to Tunica before the storm hits. ... was difficult because I had all the cold weather gear on top of my regular clothes. After a few minutes with horns blaring I found the cash and went on my way. I soon discovered there are tons of unmarked toll roads in Kansas and Oklahoma. I had to stop a total of 9 times to pay the man.
