    Unas vacaciones estupendas

    from anonymous

Loved it ! just got back

A fantastic week ! Last minute, all inclusive: excellent food - great service - we were upgraded to a massive suite.

I met 4 other british guests - more than enough !

If you want shopping "in hotel", a reasonable priced shop is on site. ( but you can still haggle !)

If you want more - well Get out and find one of the big towns!

If you hate fresh and well cooked food with an excellent choice - then don't go. I

If you have to be surrounded by brits / hotel reps / organised everything - then don't go.

If you want quiet, relaxing holiday with a realistic price to what you get ratio - then go and enjoy it. I did & so did my family.

Loved the El Mouradi Skanes Beach

    from vrata

We have just returned from a week at Sol El Mouradi hotel. Everything was great. The rooms are big and clean, there is aircondition everywhere. The food is very varied so everybody can choose what he wants. The pool is nice and clean. There are several bars where you can eat and drink during all the day, There are animators from many countries as well as Tunisiens. You can play games and have fun all the day and night. For childen there is a miniclub and for teenagers a teenclub. The beach is long and nice. There are sunbeds free but if you want a mattress you have to pay 1 dinar. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel a lot.

    Hated it!!!

    from moyrauk

I have just returned from 1 week at this hotel, out of approximately 700 guests we were the only British! The food was good if you like meat and veg or pizza but you had to que for about 20 minutes to get anything. If you are lucky enough to get a table for 2 you are doing well, and if you want a leisurely meal you will not get one, lunch and dinner lasts 1 and a half hours which is a short time to serve over 700 people! To have a bed at the main pool you have to be up at dawn to put your towel down, if you are going there, there is a second pool, which is very large is in the hotel complex. The bedrooms are nice however and they are clean. If you want to keep up to date with anything on the news there are only foreign channels and you have to hire the remote, you also have to pay a daily rate for beach towels and mattresses for the sun loungers. The staff were not very friendly as they were very much under pressure probably from complaints. If you speak French you will find yourself at home. The beach is small and very very busy!

This hotel may be good for families as there is some entertainment for the children, if you want a romantic break, give it a miss!

    Great bargain getaway

    from anonymous

We visited this hotel for a cheap last minute holiday.

All the family loved it. The food is fine, if you go hungry you must be a fussy eater.

The waiters and most of the barstaff were very freindly, all the entertainment staff were great, and try to get you involved.

The rooms were cleaned every day, also towels changed every day.

The pool was lovely but quite cold as it's quite large, but they do have an indoor pool.

The beer was nice and I think the only drink not included in the AI was whisky which we found out.

Beware if going into the medina (market) as they will try and con you by saying they work at the hotel but they will have seen your wrist band, they will try and take you to (a goverment run shop) which obviously isnt, which we also foolishly found out!!

The weather when we went at the start of April was great apart from 1 day which was overcast all day. There is a shop on the complex and the staff are really freindly, will let you take something and pay for it the next day.

On the day we arrived we firstly got dropped off at the hotel next door and they had to get us a taxi to the correct hotel, then we had asked for adjoining rooms which we didnt get, but once we asked at reception they gladly changed our rooms.

This is a great hotel for a bargain holiday. Would definalety reccomend this hotel

    Single women beware!!

    from anonymous

My friend and i decided to visit Tunisia on a last minute deal for a week and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The hotel Mouradi Skanes Beach was gorgeous, the food was very good although there wasnt much variation from night to night. We went all inclusive which saved us a packet as we had to have a steady supply of drinks throughtout the day due to the intense heat! The only thing we would both say (to single women)is beware of the waiters and entertainment people! It seems their mission upon seeing two single women on holiday is to try and persuade you to accompany them to local bars and get you on your own at every opportunity! Many probably fall for their charms but their intentions couldnt be more obvious! And if you visit the nearby towns such as Monastir, prepare to be hassled to within an inch of your life! We would thoroughly recommend staying within the safe confines of your hotel unless you are accompanied by a British male to protect your honour!

    Great Break

    from anonymous

Just come back from a weeks all inclusive stay. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and the choice of food was extremely good. The rooms were very clean we had two adjoining rooms with our children. The pool area was clean and there were always plenty of sun beds available so you did not have to get up early to get them. The only dissapointments were that ice-creams during the day are not inlcuded in the "All inclusive" offer and the available alcholic drinks are limited. The hotel arranged transfers for us from the airport which was considerably cheaper than what the travel agents offered, and they sorted out adjoining rooms for us. All in all a very pleasant stay we would recommend this hotel!!!

Solo una persona del personal hablaba español

    from anonymous

Nice time, not so nice staff

    from epilator

What was written before is all true. One exception may be that the staff was not always as helpful and kind as you would expect - that is if you dont tip. One smaller problem was with the exchange box in the hotel which always ran out of dinars, only exchanging about 100 dollars every person, not excepting 100 notes only smaller.

This was indeed a problem, when the deposit for the towels had to be payed in dinars (20 or so each) and first night when we had to buy water, because there was no minibar in the rooms, their water is not to drink and the bottled waters cost about 1.5 dinars at the bar.

Except for these little inconviniences, all was fine: rooms, food, drinks, pool, everything.

    First timer

    from DJRay

Our first visit to Tunisia was at the El Mouradi Skanes Beach .We came home at the beginning of June 2005 after a great time in Tunisia .The hotel has just become all inclusive within the last two months and they seem to be just finding the right balance .

The accomodation is a very high standard , the room we were in (277) had a excellent sea view and was very clean and tidy .The food was absolutely excellent and offered plenty of choice .The drinks alas was a little limited , beer ,vodka ,Boukha , Thiberine or wine .Fortunately the beer was quite good .

The entertainment staff tried their hardest but wasn`t really to my taste .The evening entertainment started each night at 8.30 with the kids show , which was exactlly the same every night .

The pools were very good and kept very clean and litter free , English resorts please note .

The downside is the area around the hotel , there is a power plant half a mile up the road and apart from a couple of hotels and a golf course , nothing else to see .

I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet , relaxing break and Tunisia itself is a beautiful place to visit , indeed I have just booked The Royal Beach in Sousse for October , I can`t wait to get back
