... visitors from the states so it was going to be a great time. After waiting all day with nothing to do in Cartago, the bus never showed up. I decided after waiting another hour and a half after the scheduled departure time that I didn’t feel like waiting around anymore. (side note: I did meet the greatest guy standing in line at the bus stop though. We had the best span-glish conversation I’ve had here.) At the last minute, I made the decision to go into San ...

We also noticed there were tons of shoe stores and lingerie and sex shops...More than the clothing stores on the first floor; we thought it was interesting. When we got out of the mall, and crossed the dangerous streets, we stood on a corner where we could see the University of Costa Rica. We only saw one side of a building but decided we'd go back to visit the whole University when we come back to San ...

I was also enjoying my time with them, and espetially with Dieguito. On Thursday we went to braului Carrillo, a natural park near San Jose. It was so beautiful, we took some funny pictures, and made a bath in an orange river. But, as we were ...

... gave him antibiotics and we went on our way, and spent a lovely day at the park, watching everyone playing basketball and football, doing aerobics, rollerblading, doing the treetop walk and zipwire over the lake and just generally realaxing and having fun. It is a beautiful park and we loved our day there. We walked all around the lake and also watched some guy doing bike jumps over some huge mounds of earth. It was a fun day. However, by that night Ed was starting to feel really poorly ...

Durch den Sturm ist das Wasser ca. 10 Grad kälter geworden, als es sein sollte. Während dem Tauchen habe ich tote Fische und Meeres-Schlangen gesehen, welche die Kälte nicht überlebt haben.

Odds & Ends and Night Life

... to speak yet back in our Room 206 early. We have often been warned about the frequent muggings that take place in nighttime central San Jose as well as hordes of pickpockets roaming the crowds by day. Thieves work in pairs. Money and jewelry are basically what they're after. Violence is increasing but still relatively rare. We are reasonably careful and walk at night as long as we see quite a few others out as well. Downtown streets usually are empty by about ...

... our #1 rule no driving at night. Lesson Learned! November 13 We left Alejuala early again this morning, It's another beautiful day. We fight our way to CA2 heading South. The traffic on this 3 lane highway is absolutely crazy. People cutting each other off, scooter and motorcyclist's splitting lanes, buses stopping in the right lane to pick up it's passengers causing huge delays in traffic flow.Crazy. We follow the signs and everything ...
