... it on another day. After yet another fantastic meal, we go past the clubs and marina to see if it's going off being a Saturday night, but it's yet another night of banging music and empty clubs so back to the hotel with some lollies and a hoping for an English movie on tv as Leesh isn't feeling too great. ... despite my hotel owner being adamant that it was not. The walk took me through a protected wetland populated with a variety of birds and I came out on a wide, sandy beach.

... Roe. It was huge inside with loads of quirky American things like number plates and retro posters. Really cool place with an upstairs section overlooking the downstairs dancefloor which created an amazing atmosphere, with the gringos on the side lining the benches as if they were at a football game. …when EVERYONE had parasailed… the leader of the group of Mexicans began trying to negotiate his price to pay… he wanted to pay $10 per person and they were willing to go down to $20 per person. The rest of us had paid, ahead of time, in full and had to show tickets to the driver before getting on the boat.

... Lyndi, who had organized the "colony visit" from our previous blog also won an award. She won Editors Choice for most dedicated volunteer. What great recognition for her considering she lives in California. She was completely unaware that she had been nominated or recognized. She and her husband were brought along by another new friend of ours Tyler, who manages a popular local restaurant called Desperado's, which by the way also won several awards that evening.
