... all yellow, white and purple......Spring has arrived in BSM.
Several times this year we have noticed the most stunning designs in the snow, generally created soon after a snow fall. They are often geometric shapes of about 100m x 100m, so quite large. the size of the cheese it kind of made sense. It was especially interesting
because French people eat a ton of cheese when they go skiing. We ate raclette
one night which is where you take a slice of cheese, melt it in a special
mechanism that sits on the table, and pour it over deli meat and potatoes.
Another evening, we had tartiflette which is like a casserole made of potatoes
and diced ham mixed with heavy cream, but the kicker ...
This week Ron entered in the veteran slalom event, which is held annually in BSM, and surprisingly it is open to amateurs and professionals....not sure how many veteran slalom professionals there are, but about 100 men and women competed and Ron was 28th overall and 8th in his age category (Men 60+), so he did remarkably well, given he's never competed in a slalom race before!

... amazing day Maurice hadnt skied for a while so legs tired so down on 4 pm funicular which was crowded as lots of people leaving
With suit cases (saturday is change over day in all hotels) so funicular just left as it was full
No ski school so no ducklings
