... br> In the past I have been less than kind to France. My view was based on our previous visit in 2010 where we stuck pretty closely to the major towns and south coast on the Mediterranean. This time we spent our time in the smaller rural villages and paralleled the coast through
rural and mountain areas. Whilst most of the villages are so depressing it’s a wonder the locals don’t top themselves after their morning coffee, some are real gems. The scenery through ...

After leaving the Piedmont region of Italy, and before heading back to Geneva for the airport, we made a quick two-day stop in the beautiful French alpine town of Chamonix. We all crammed into ...

... br> many people did (and did). It wasn’t quite like that tonight being summer, but I
reckon there were more well groomed women parading past me than I’ve seen
anywhere outside of Paris or New York. Many of them were simply out walking
their dogs. Wow; I wonder how they dress when they go out somewhere serious. I stayed
for dinner and it made for a very pleasant people watching evening.

    ... cigarette very quickly.

    Oops.

That stuff is strong and it blew my head off. Not wanting to alarm Rene who had warned me not to go too hard (he doesn't touch the stuff himself) I suggested we step back outside and go for a walk. Suffice it to say the train ride home was interesting.

I completely muzzered the train from Noordwijk to Bremen and ended up making up my own itinerary up as I went. I had a ticket on my phone that ...
