Awesome!!! We have escaped the cool summer the North is experiencing and are soaking up some rays in Mexico!!! Having an awesome time here, not too many people around and lots of food. Don't expect to hear from us for a while!!!!
One again the weather was cloudy and drizzling with rain. We had to be at Roberto's tour desk halfway along the strip by 9.30am, so after breakfast we walked down. Once we got there he told us that the rain won't be too bad and the tour is still on, he pre paid our taxi and we headed to the ferry which would take us to Isla Cozumel, leaving at 10am. We got to the ferry terminal, waited 15 mins then left for the 45 minute ferry ride to Cozumel. The boat was a ...
... we expected. But first we had to play a tequila riddle game of dominos with a newly befriended 40something year old gay mexican man. Always prioritise. The ´club´ was obviously the locals favourite place as we were the only gringos in the joint and soon had to promptly leave after something happening with a cartel esque group of men, I say cartel esque, the just looked liked ****** off Mexicans.

Fifteen to twenty years ago Playa del Carmen was just a small village with the jungle a short distance away from the beach.
