... central area of Cancun and its "market", a visit to the supermarket and that was it. Wouldn't rate the market, or the central area of Cancun. Market full of junk and tacky souvenirs and the central area of Cancun very ordinary.

Since then have spent a couple of days at the beaches close by and one day visiting the ruins at Tulum.

One of the days at the beach was on Isla Mujures – an ...

          where Do I start?

Cancun's hotels are the best, they have good architecture and good service too. also the malls are so big but a little bit expensive.

the Mayan city of chichen itza was amazing, this new wonder of the world give a meaning to this trip . Also there was natural lagoons where you can swim for a period of time, but they were so deep however the guide told that the were used as sacrifice pits O_O!

Every few minutes we would be like "we will go down now" but we just couldn't take our eyes off it. You forget how good a film it is. We finally went down to the pool party and loads of people were decked out in their Irish gear. I had brought an Irish flag for this ...

... superb food. That and a beer bliss after a nice day in the sun.Sunday 16th March. Another eatly start with cooked breakfast and I decided to walk the beach to to town and once there did a good explore of the area and the few sights including the leaning old lighthouse on the beach (tipped after a hurricane in the 1960s) , the market and stalls. Sadly this town really is only for tourists most of whom are snow birds from the US trying to ...

... of rum, people-watched and overall relaxed. We found the beach interesting as the water was so shallow. You could walk for 10 minutes and still only be thigh high in water. Eventually we settled for sitting in the shallows. It was great to cool off in the heat. Out if the water we would search for shade for Emily while Justin would tan in the direct sun, occasionally needing some shade to relieve him from the heat. Justin did a snorkelling tour on one of the days. It wasn't ...
