We spent the rest of the vacation resting at the beach resort.
Casa Camaleon
... finally arrive at the Hotel Bula Bula where I was told to go. The cab driver tries to charge me $37 when we had set the price at $25 before we left. I say no bueno and pay him $25. One lesson I learned is never to put your bags in the trunk due to situations such as these.

... for them when the emerged and blew out their nose right next to the boat. Captain Jonathan jumped out of his skin, it was hysterical (and I got it on video!).
Eventually mom and baby continued their swim north and we continued our journey back to Tamarindo to the marina.

We got to our car and had maybe driven five minutes when the sky opened up and let loose on us. It was the craziest rain we had seen yet. The thunder and lightning ...
Sometimes everything is the same
... or talk about it. The kids were happy when the band was playing and they got to dance and they got to be the percussion section of the band which otherwise was a gal on a synthesizer and a guy on a drum kit. Your grandchildren are living pura vida.
Follow that with night time swim (which was one of our favorite nights last time here) and an underwater camera, and everyone goes to bed tired and happy.

AN AMAZING--NO, AN EERIE--ENCOUNTER!
... day ($10 US) and settled in for the long haul. Linda didn't join me until almost noon, knowing that the uncomfortable chairs on the beach would bother her back. It was a great day. A lot of activity on the beach, great surf for the surfers and some great viewing for the non-surfers.
I sent my son, Jaret, a text message with a picture of a girl in a thong I took with my iPhone and said, “I hope you are having as great a Christmas as I am!”
