We were graciously invited back for Delisa's birthday which was in May to the Socorro Islands, Mexico, and we are just now returning from our second trip on the boat to Cocos Island, Costa Rica. SOCORRO ISLANDS, Mexico These islands are located about 250 miles south of Cabo San Lucas Mexico. These islands are protected islands and are uninhabited except for the main island, Socorro, which serves as a Mexican military base. ...

... Many people who aren't staying there will come in the afternoon, have a drink or two and watch the sunset. It was a really cool, surreal, peaceful, and just beautiful experience. As soon as the sun is finished setting, we, along with many other people, paid the bill, left the property, and headed back into town.

Jaco definitely has a comfortable feel to it and we'll have fond memories of our couple of months living here.

When we woke up we saw that the swell was very strong and was rolling in with a lot of distance between each swell. We were heading straight into them so there was a bit of pitching up and down. As we approached the harbor of Puerto Chiapas the ship had to turn so that the swell wAs hitting us side ...

We met up with Joyce, Tom and the rest of the gang outside the restaurant just before 7.30 and had a very nice dinner with the plus two of their trivia companions. I had the mushroom tart, salmon and salad and a grand marnier soufflé. Doug also had the tart and the soufflé but chose calamari as his main course.

Tired, we headed back to our cabin … another early start tomorrow - Oh Boy !!!

limped a bit yesterday, and my shoe is tight today, but I'm glad to be able to
wear a sneaker in the airport today!

We watched the sunset over the ridge, and it was as
expected, an amazing experience. Sonia's ankle is very badly sprained so we
didn't get to see her before we left, but she was so grateful for our service.
