There are significant Roman ruins here dating from about 100AD. The geographcal landscape is very unusual for a beach town which is sandwiched between very rocky hills. A creek fed by freshwater springs runs out to the beach. The really unusual thing is that to get to the beach you have to go through the ruins and pay 5 lire each time. Quite strange. I gather you ...
