We had a morning tour Sue and Darren - a lovely couple who are not about religion and are well travelled and down to earth. We had a great day with them and wish now we were doing the Holy Land with them as they have a car and driver and space for two more......... We were on our way by 0830 and into the old town to see a bit of it before it was closed down to traffic. name the sites stopped pottery - name of vessel lindros lunch walk about white ...

... when we arrived at Chora we completely missed the stairs up to the monastery but had a great time wandering around this picturesque village, spotting restaurants with views for lunch and a bakery! We came across a church which we thought might be the monastery but were shooed out by the priest as he was leaving and locking everything. A leisurely get up but in time for breakfast. Then we took the 11am ferry to Tunruc, an idilic bay our rep had said. Not so much so when you come from the West Country. The boat ride was nice though. We wandered quickly through the village, lots of the same shops but no salesmen calling out to us constantly. We stopped for a beer at a waterfront cafe then caught the first taxi back to the hotel. Another nice boat ride. Back in time for lunch. I tried out the lady in ...

... We the had a Tunisian moment as I told Barry I had been stung and tried to pull out the stinger while in intense pain. Barry though had a page and a half to go! He finally got the message as I pointed out to him the reading time was over. Trouble was this coincided with waffles time. The barman gave us a strange look as we asked for just a glass of ice and I adjourned to the toilet to give myself some first aid. With the ice ...
