... had a good laugh. They had a couple of other boys somewhere in the restaurant area, and found they'd been sitting with some kiwi girls. And low and behold, one of the boys we found was a RAAFie. A gunny from Tindel. He was also one of the biggest social hand grenades I've ever seen. A real menace. And loves the RAAF. Even brought his day glow vest to go out in. But he was hilarious, in a 'I can't believe he did that' kind of way. He just did not care. So the party ...
We met outside the Kingdom Hall for the ministry group because one congregation was having their meeting and another was using the second school for their service group. We joined another couple to do return visits on English speaking people we had found. Mike took a Mexican brother on the older man we called on the other week who liked the Bible's definition of love. He invited them in and he was able to speak Spanish if he chose to this time. He accepted ...
... area, but on top of that extremely well built with kids in mind. Loads of unique stuff for the kids in the family suites, all rooms have a jacuzzi, the many restaurants were all extremely modern and luxurious, and there were play areas for teens with X-box's and Playstations, a bar that was turned into a dance floor at night, and so much more. I loved it!
... a hotel in the hotel zone. Son was confident we had experienced enough Mexican culture.
Our arrival wasn't ayoba. The check-in lady was beyond rude and this developed into a situation where we were saying 'Tranquilo, tranquilo' and the assistant staff member was so embarrassed he was trying to hide under the counter. This little confrontation didn't help the Mexicans disprove the generalisation I made in my last entry.
The hotel itself was amazing. ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Oasis Sens Cancun
We just got back yesterday from our fantastic trip to Cancun. We stayed at the Oasis Playa and were extremely pleased. After reading a few negative reviews before arriving, we were kind of worried. However, all worries quickly disappeared once we got there. Immediately after check-in, our bags were delivered to our room by the bell boys. The room was very spacious and clean. As far as the food goes, we were impressed. The buffet has a great variety of food, but if you eat there for every meal, it will get a little old eventhough they change it up a little every day. The Mexican restaurant was decent but we are used to Tex-Mex so we found it a little bland. We never went to the other restaurant but heard it was good. There is also hamburgers, hotdogs, and nachos on the beach during the day. The service at every restaurant in the hotel was exceptionally good. There is no air conditioning in the lobby or in the restaurant so it gets kinda hot. Don't worry, the air conditioner in our room worked very well and we had to keep it on low most of the time so we wouldn't freeze.
My husband & I have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon at the Oasis Playa, I can't believe the bad reviews I have read are written about the same hotel we stayed in. Where to start? The staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive, Concie in the piano bar deserves a special mention she was fantastic. Our room was spacious and was cleaned (with fresh bedding & towels provided) daily. The entertainment was brilliant with something going on at all times, but the entertainment staff were not pushie if you didn't want to take part they left you to watch. The evening shows were well worth watching and well organised. The restaurants were superb with a good choice for anyone (my husband is a very picky eater but he was quite satisfied with the selection) you could have virtually anything you wanted and there was different things everyday. The security was good and we had no qualms about leaving belongings while we went to have a swim or go to a restaurant.
we returned from oasis playa on 24th july and were we pleased to leave .we had to move rooms as the air conditioning in our superior room packed up . in our second room we had no hot water ants nests room smelt all damp net curtain all ripped and our splash pool had cigarette buts and hair in it .after complaining we didnt have the problem dealt with which we were most upset about. after saving over a year for my holiday i wish we had never gone it was worst than a holiday from hell . the toilet also had a constant dripping noise which again was left . mexico is a fantastic place shame oasis playa is there . if you are going good luck one things for sure if you do complain the problem wont be dealt with happy holidays and this should not be a 5 star hotel im glad im back in taunton xx
I returned from my holiday with my only yesterday morning with my friend and after experiencing one of the most fantastic holidays was already set to book a return trip later this year. I came on the net to book direct and came accross this site. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Surely the bad comments are made up, or on a different hotel!! As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by very friendly helpful staff who took care of our luggage. We checked in and went up to our Sea View Room. It was georgeous, specious and clean!!Our cases were brought up to our room instantly.
Myself and my fiance saved for some time to go to Cancun, expected a really nice 5 star hotel, we were sadly mistaken. The rooms were clean, but the air conditioning leaked all over the floor (Maintenance staff would not fix the problem), got stuck in the lift, (which never worked) for over 40 mins without an aknowledgment let alone an apology.
Hey! I just got back from Cancun, and I stayed at the Oasis Playa. I really enjoyed it. We had the all-inclusive plan, so all of our meals and drinks (including alcoholic beverages) were paid for. There were 4 restaurants at the hotel, and they also had a little poolside store with American snacks. They have a buffet, an italian place, a mediterranean place, and a hotdog/hamburger/nacho place down on the beach. And if you woke up in the middle of the night with the munchies they have a place outside, downstairs where they can make you a sandwich. The entertainment staff was GREAT! My favorite entertainer was Angel, and then Paco. They do everything. They have volleyball, water aerobics, and latin dance lessons in the morning. Every night they have a show that most of the people come down to see. The rooms were decent, pretty spacious and if something happens to it, they send somebody right up to fix it. There is an inside salon that gives hair cuts, massages, manicures, and braids hair, etc. The hair salon isn't expensive, and the lady that works in it is as sweet as can be. I hope you choose Oasis Playa to stay at!
The Hotel itself is very nice and clean but the rooms are a little run-down though they are spacious. We had a beautiful view of a tennis court and it looked like a construction site from our rooms window with no balcony (who needs the ocean view when you have that). Also, we didnt have any hot water for two nights. My friends and I had a very hotel and the beach was spectacular. We also enjoyed the pool until the day were were leaving when they decided to empty their stagnant water from the bar firehose into the pool. The pool water turned brown and the poor people were swimming in the toxic waste. It was absolutely disgusting. The staff didnt even tell them to get out. Actually, there were many english speaking tourists but the staff could barely speak english at all so remember that high school Spanish and learn your Pesos. Anyway, besides the hotel, we had a great time and met lots of interesting people. Cancun is a real party place and very beautiful. Have fun!
Excellent Hotel In Fantastic Location
I travelled there with my husband and 2 children aged 7 and 9. The hotel is situated on the most fantastic beach. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The food was excellent in all restaurants and snack bars. The entertainment was good although mostly suitable for adults. The theme nights were very enjoyable. We even had a party on the beach! We found the service very good in all areas of the hotel from maid service to the a la carte restaurants. We had a fantastic time and we cried when we had to come home.

This resort offered all the amenities of an upper class resort.
The premises were excellent and the food was great.
It is somewhat recluded from the city of Cancun but ideal for the persons who want a peaceful holiday in a superb environment.
We had a very pleasant week there and would go back anytime.
I had the most amazing time when i stayed at the oasis playa in cancun. I met tons of new people and the night life was indescribable but i also had plenty of time to relax and enjoy a day by the beach. The service there was pretty good but the staff was not too accomodating. The food was very good and did not lack variety. IIn general I had the most incredible trip and would not think twice about whether or not to stay at the oasis playa again.
