... take two liters of water with and keep hydrating ourselves well, so we don't have any problems along that line. It was in the lower eighties when we got back after our three plus mile walk. We were out less than an hour and a half, but got a nice workout, since there are some decent hills on our route.

Lynn noticed that only a few of the saguaros are in bloom. There are numerous here and we're wondering if they bloom ...

July 17th- I only slept a few hours and was awake at 2:30 with no hope of going back to sleep, so got up. Colored my hair and showered and by 4 AM I was in the car and at a gas station. That took me a while because I could not find the tab to unlock the gas tank!! Finally read the manual and that did not help, and when I dropped something on the floor saw it flush with the floor, a tiny tab that you pull up on! Then I played with the lights getting them ...

... were none there. Others would hit on only to roll back to the fairway or off the side or back. I think the stimpmeter would have been around 15 (if I had one in my bag). The sand was another big issue. These traps were huge with lots of distance to the pin. The problem was once again the speed of the greens. Once you came out of a trap, you had to stop the ball on the green. We tried to do that with limited success. ...

... next door neighbors invited us to pull up our chairs to their campfire. He was an Air Force officer and trainer for fighter pilots and she was a traveling nurse, they had a beautiful chocolate labrador retriever. The two of them had met in South Carolina and she followed him out to Arizona when he transferred....everyone has a story! After a couple of adult libations, we called it a night.
