As we traveled from Fresno to the PCH, we realized that California is seriously lacking in population in the central part of the state, off the main thoroughfare. ... As if we had not seen enough, we stopped off just before our hotel to see Elephant Seals beached for the night. We were withing 20 feet of approximately 50 seals sun bathing.

We end the night staying at the Sands by the Sea Motel and eating dinner at Cavaliers. The hotel was alright, nothing special, and dinner was quick and small portions because we ate the late lunch.

Tomorrow we start our trip home...
