... not exactly glamorous. The driving was a bit stressful, but, in reality, REALLY fun driving for Michael, and he safely deposited us and the car, without any dents or dings, back at the rental place in Florence. After an easy walk to the train station and a quick bite to eat, we had plenty of time to catch our train.

The exhibit was very interesting. It was divided into flying, war, civil engineering and hydraulics parts of the exhibit. There were replicas of some of his drawings of what we were seeing put together as part of the exhibit. Such an amazing person, that da Vinci was. ... in fact. That's more than the population of Venice visiting in 1 day. There's only a few locals left living there because of the exorbitant property prices and the issue with it sinking. Many of the apartments are now unoccupied and those working in Venice live on the mainland. The Venetian canals are not clean as much of the household waste is flushed out into the canals and into the sea and carried away by the tides. The city does not have its own sewer system.
