... were beginning to crack down on baggage being carried on. Said something to Robert because he had the Ape(camera bag) and told her it had been cleared and was all camera equipment so allowed on through.

Flight was fine and had a prima donna with baby that was interesting to watch through the flight! Now we have landed and there was no customs to go through so no stamp in our passports for Italy! Bummer.

... the rain it's a hot day but the morning is pleasant. After a really bad continental buffet breakfast included at the hotel we head out back to St Mark's square. There is already a line up to go up the bell tower in front of the basilica but it's not to bad. 20 minutes wait, a elevator to the top. Thank goodness I wasn't looking forward to all the stairs. The best views over Venice from the top. I took many photos. I took more photos in Venice than anywhere else. ...

Venice is a city that is easy to get lost in. There are so many narrow allies that are considered main streets, dead-ends, and piazzas. We stumbled upon every tourist attraction by accident.
