The Greater Good
... theory though is something that I can't empathise with, that they are making the children live through the suffering because they believe in their hearts that after all the screaming and pain, the kids may be a little closer to better. They believe in the acupuncture massaging and therapy, and so this small bit of suffering that happens every day is not inhumane or heartbreaking.

In one of the buildings nearby was the nursery section.... there were about 7 tiny Panda cubs; some looked like they had only been born maybe a week or so ago and some looked maybe 2-3 months.
