    Day 8 - Exploring Amsterdam

A travel blog entry by ttdaniel on Aug 26, 2014

... We sat with a Scottish couple and had lively discussions about our own country and political parties. We had delicious wood fire pizzas for dinner, Toby had tuna pizza & I had a vego pizza and then we had Ben & Jerry's ice-cream for dessert. Plus unlimited beer and wine! We were so full after dinner and drinks it was a struggle to make it back to the hotel for an earlish night.

Tomorrow: Heineken Experience & Red Light District Tour.

Had good time catching up with her after such a long time. Its good to see someone close in a foreign land. It refreshed me after a loooong flight from Singapore. Now I am getting ready for another long flight to Lima..
    Next update from Lima.

... it was tasty, Joan wasn't convinced! We rocked up to the Anne Frank museum and thru to the front of the very long queue, thanks to it being pre-booked! I still struggle to understand why people don't prebook these things and choose to stand for hours on end in a queue instead. The museum was about Anne Frank, her family and life, and based on her diaries. I remember reading, rereading and rereading this book and it was amazing (if that's the best word?!) to walk ...

Our last and final destination on the trip: Amsterdam!

Amsterdam is a city not meant for cars- there are bikes everywhere! The city is meant for bikes, pedestrians and cable cars. Also, Amsterdam is a city of canals which I did not know until I got there. I only walked around Amsterdam ...
