... take a lovely stroll along the picturesque coastline for about 20 minutes. I braved a foot dip in the ocean on the way and it wasn't pleasant I have to say. You wouldn't catch me swimming in there... ever! Haystack Rock... again no idea why the name but impressive nevertheless. When we got back we thought a nice dip in the streaming hot spa was called for and since this is probably the only place we will get one why not take advantage. We were pretty cold from the walk so ...

... br> Our last stop on the coast is the very popular Sunset Bay State Park near Coos Bay. A pretty little bay – a perfect crescent – and it would be oh so nice if we had anything that remotely hints at sunshine. We took the hike to the bay and sat on a bench, in my wool cap and down vest watching the gray move over the water. Now we are back at camp, in the RV because it is too darn cold to sit outside.

Overall I have enjoyed this ...

... on. The Park is gorgeous and the paths are very well maintained. I never get tired of the old growth trees covered in dripping moss and the paths lined with ferns, a fine mist gathering at the tree tops. It is, as Henry put it, very mysterious. The hike to the top was a mile and a quarter and was a steep ascent the whole way. Mel had Penny strapped to her chest and I had Henry on my shoulders. We're no slouches when it comes to walking but this was a ...
