A big travel day of half an hour down the road to another Caribbean seaside town in Costa Rica. The first 5 places we tried were all full it being New Years Eve, but we managed to find a little room for a fiver. Plans to party tonight and then maybe some surfing here in the New Year- Happy Days.

Puerto Viejo is on the Carribean side of Costa Rica, (ie the opposite coast of San Juan in Niaragua, and most of Costas famous beaches). Its equally famous for its Carribean feel as for its waves....and comes highly recommended by my brother Dave. Whilst I was rather dissapointed by the Carribean flavour of this place, the waves didnt dissapoint...
