... way to San Antonio, and we'll spend the weekend with our friends, Len and Fran. Then, Monday we're driving towards Phoenix with an overnight stop in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We'll be in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 10. We'll have a day to do our laundry and repack in Phoenix before we leave Thursday morning with Marnie and Steve for Las Vegas to celebrate Steve's big 50th birthday party. Viva Las Vegas and Happy Birthday, Esteban!

... is one of our favourites places to eat when travelling in the USA. Nancy enjoyed a buttermilk cornflake crusted chicken breast with sides, Courtney had a breakfast sampler and I had the platter with pancakes, eggs, sausage and fixens. Yummy! ... we moved on to a different section with some terrific rides. The all new Falcon's Fury takes you up a 60ft pole, then the seats swing back so you're looking directly at the ground, all you body weight trusted to the harness for a few, looong seconds, before it lets go and you rush to the ground, swinging back to a seated position at the last second. ... the cruise… We then went to the car hire place to return the car, and they organized to drop us off at the cruise terminal which was really good of them. It was Enterprise Car rentals – would recommend them quite highly.

We were boarded by 2pm – lovely cabin (deck 10) with a balcony, and really nice ship.

Thus began 4 days of rest and relaxation.
