A giant island made 98% of sand is quite the thought, let alone the multiple perched lakes, and different types of rainforests found on the island. Staying with Leona Bertogna has been an absolute delight. Pity Arno is stuck in Perth, sorting out some family issues but Leona has made us very welcome.

We have no plans today so hang around at the house. We help jane do a bit of gardening and then chill out and have a swim and lay in the sun for a few hours. Mum and Gran went to watch 12 years a slave so Jane now wants to as well so we arrange to meet Ed and Tilly down near the cinema and take a picnic with us.
