... The measures were generous and no one spat, although you could. We got through ten tasters and Bump the cat was shown the door after attaching himself the Emma's leg and vibrating. Roses were planted at the end of each row of vines to keep away the pests, they now just make up part of the model manicured farm for the tourists and the crop is sprayed. ... the towns. This part of Australia is rich. It is flat and green, with nice houses and lots of farms. If you imagine the eucalyptus trees to be willows, and they look like willows, I can imagine I am in Holland. And that is a too familiar view for all the discomfort I go through. But than there are the wineries and the National Parks with huge Karri - Eucalyptus trees. And there is the seaside; the white beaches many miles long, the blue sea and the national parks. ...

... to see a single one in the wild, I was hoping that this trip would be better, the company virtually guaranteed that there would be whales to see. However, a woman came on board and gave us her sorry tale of this being her fourth trip. She'd been three times before and hadn't seen a single whale. Damn! Who let her on board? She was quite clearly cursed, a Jonah if you will. This obviously meant that we would have no luck today... and so it proved.

... case I decide to strangle it during the meal. I broke another piece and this time carried it right over to the second bird. Stretching out its neck, it gently grabbed it out of my hand and hopped away. These guys may be wild, but this was obviously not their first hand feeding, so I introduced them to Harry to break the ice further. It turns out stuffed sheep and parrots get along just fine.
