With Perth in the rear view mirror -well the notion that it is somewhere behind our caravan anyway- we headed for Mandurah to catch up with Penny and Warwick whom we'd met in Exmouth earlier in the trip. Warwick was keen to show us some video of surfing down south and of some spots up at Exmouth when they were firing. We did a day cruising around the town and beaches then decided to head off up into the valleys of Collie while the weather went feral for a few days. ...

... had told Bill a couple of spots to try. We went back again in the afternoon and caught another 6. Fresh battered George and salad for dinner!! Wednesday 23/9. Bill went out fishing for a few hours without me. I went for a walk along the track to town, picked up some bait and then walked back. Bill picked me up from the jetty out the front. The fishing wasn't so great today. Bill caught a nice sized salmon, small trevally and a few whiting. ...

... were a couple spills in the kitchen. Something that was very nice is that they had a dishwasher we were able to use! We ran it after almost every meal since there were so many of us, and appreciated the luxury we have been without for awhile now.

We left at 10:00am and went to the mouth of the Margaret River. We couldn't go to Margaret River without actually seeing the river. It was a quick stop. There was a coffee stand that we stopped ...

... a conversation stared and she always walks up to strangers who she knows will pat her and give her lots of attention. Quite funny and we get to chat with people and hear their story. Our Rv is always a conversation started and every day someone asks Aaron ' How do you get that boat down?"
The electrics in the Rv are playing up. No lights tonight so good for getting everyone to bed ...
