    ... and I can only admire the courage of those that flew them and the other bombers in WW2. Evan had a great time as he was able to get into the DC3, known as the Dakota in British service, which was the first commercial aircraft he flew. Thousands of 'Daks' made up the first post war airlines all over the world and few in to the 1960s and even the early 70s in some places.

    As our shooting spot had been allocated to other shooters later in the day we had to get on with things so Evan was pushed in to getting ready with the M14 rifle but, as he was lying there ready to fire, there was lots of kicking at his feet by some of the range staff and I wondered what was going on when I heard the shout 'Scorpion'.     ... occassions by the 1970s so to see people 'Pledging Allegiance' is rather strange but in a way rather touching.

    ... we had a look around and arranged when we were to arrive the following morning before heading to Wickenburg where we were booked into the Best Western Rancho Grande. To keep costs down we'd agreed to share rooms for part of the trip which is pretty easy in the USA as a lot of rooms come with 2 Queen beds and plenty of space. I was sharing with Evan.

    ... muscles I forgot existed. We then met up with our friends and soon to be newlyweds Jennah and Paul. They were so sweet and took us out for lunch and then we hit up local sweet shop and laid in park. We had the laziest, relaxing day and hiked the bluffs a bit before dinner, where we proceeded to have great Mexican and of course tequila shooters! After all, we did have B&B prom to attend...
