We didn't really know what to expect of this little town. We couldn't find out much information before we arrived and only knew that our cabin was some distance out of town. A visit to the Visitors' Centre gave us the impression that the area was most recognised for its waterfalls. Well, that's exactly right! Our cabin was in the middle of the forest and all we could hear was the stream running at the edge of the property and the ...

We heard chickens clucking in their pen and we saw the horses tied up outside their stable. The french girl working there said there were 14 horses altogether, 12 were girls. Sarah wholes ranch it is sorted us out cowboy ...

Today was a long day, but filled with spectacular scenery, waterfalls, pine trees and nature. We left Kamloops and drove to Wells Gray Provincial Park, Clearwater. We stopped at the Wells Gray information Centre and Joanne and I bought a cap each. We had lunch in the nearby park. Then we were off to see five waterfalls - Spahats Falls, The Mushbowl, Dawson Falls, Helmcken Falls and after a quick dip in Clearwater Lake - for Julie and Michelle - the final waterfall ...

... there. This area is where the Overlanders trying to come down the North Thompson River encountered such dangerous rapids and whirlpools that they lost one of their party and all his horses. The rest of the party decided to walk around, taking three days to get around this particular area of treacherous water. We ...
