Ein Sträfling sträflich schnell unterwegs
... gewesen wäre, hab ich dann auch pünktlich mit Einbruch der Dunkelheit ein Wallaby überfahren. Wie auf dem Festland. Das erste echte wilde Tier wird direkt überfahren.
Ein paar Stunden und einige erfolgreiche Tierausweichmanöver später kam ich dann in Coles Bay an. Mein Check-In war tatsächlich geregelt, ein Schlüssel klebte an der Tür und im Zimmer kam dann eine Riesenüberraschung. Mein Rucksack stand vor meinem Bett. Na bitte, geht doch!

... on what did what. I am simply incapable of listening after about 2.7 minutes and rely on Nick. I think he phases out after about 4.6 minutes, so between us we are hopeless.
As son as the man has gone we are bouncing all over the room like prison escapees pressing every button at least 3 times to try and find out what does what. And here, there were a LOT of buttons. Not just a bath, but also a terrace, a courtyard, a sitting area, desk area and a free mini bar.

am naechsten Tag bin ich ein wenig suedlich gefahren nach Swansea, ein etwas groesserer Ort als Bicheno. Auch dieser Ort lebt vom Tourismus, hat einen Strand und einen Kuestenspaziergang mit gutem Blick ueber die Grosse Austernbucht zur Freycinet Halbinsel.
