... were able to hop out for a few minutes here and there - otherwise the photos would be rubbish and all blurred! We saw lots of fjords as well - but these were early on in the trip, and the photos were all blurred.

Enjoy the pics, but it really is something you should see in your lifetime - I would so recommend this train journey - but in winter like this, so that you get the snow effect as well - awesome!

... the waterfall Brekkefossen, but we did not have much time because of the train departure, so we gave up the steep climbing and went to purchase the tickets. And the first rapids hit, unfortunately my lack of knowledge of anything rafting didn't help as the guide put me in the front of the boat as she felt i was one of the stronger rafters in the boat!! ... was a photo opportunity in snow covered Finse, 1222 metres above sea level. It was an early reminder of why I chose to come to Norway, and I immediately adored Bergen as I walked down the cobbled streets leading from the train station. ... I thought I might have missed a trail down, so I went again...no cut-off trail. There was a path in the opposite direction that the sign pointed so I followed that and found that to be the trail down. Soon I came to a path with about three splits, none of which were clear trails, and no sign or markings.
