Not being in a rush, as usual, we sit in a small café & buy a bottle of water to watch the main street heating up for the day with 1950’s cars, trucks & carts hustling & bustling like busy bees.. I think we made Roy a little nervous not accepting the offer he came over to us with a new price of 30CUC for both of us.

... o todos están sordos. No se vale que estén sordos porque yo duermo con la pata estirada hasta en un concierto de Sepultura y esos jodidos gallos armaban un escándalo infernal. Sinceramente, si hubiera tenido una escopeta creo que me hubiera liquidado a 105 gallos de los que andaban por ahí.

Viñales is probably my favourite place in Cuba although Havana is a close second. Viñales is east of Havana in the Pinar del Rio province. Just 5 hours by bus. The population is only 28,000.

Very small town
... of rum. A truly wonderful afternoon and evening in a fantastic setting. Back to our homestay at about 11pm, where I went to bed, but John - already the worse for drink - insisted on going out again!! George finally poured him back through the door at around 2am - where he promptly fell on the floor - kneeling between the beds - and went to sleep!! It took me 2.5 hours to get him up and into bed - not best pleased!!
