Next morning, we woke EARLY and went to the Vatican. I left 8 addressed, written postcards in the room :( But the Vatican - not all it's cracked up to be. I mean, the IDEA of the Sistine Chapel was more awe-inspiring than the actual ceiling - the basilica was much nicer. But still - it's not everyday you see such an important part of history!

Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Catacombs of Rome
... of cheese and then a bunch of small tables spread throughout the small restaurant. Unfortunately the staff said there were no tables and were shocked that we didn’t have a reservation. We were disappointed but we asked for their recommendation of another place nearby, they of course said nothing compares, but they recommended Osteria Romana which turned out to be tucked away in a back alley underneath some apartments with washing hanging out of their windows.
