We sat there for a little while and then headed to find some food, I finally had my pad thai in a restaurant that overlooked the beach and Matty had he new found fave, basil beef. Owned by Devrim, operated by an all Burmese team who were great. They had great Tom Yum and ...

... br> The food was not as good as in Bangkok, and of course a lot pricier. I did have amazing spicy curries that ignoring the fact that the broth was made from meat was delicious.

This island felt very busy and touristy so don't expect to have a secluded beach because they are people/diving schools everywhere. However, one can grab a rock, jump into the ocean, and have it all to ...

    Day 73 - Auw Leuk

... beach long anyway, so we didn't get too concerned by it, we simply stripped off and out on our snorkelling gear. When we got into the sea though, we saw that the issue wasn't confined to the beach, as there was a lot of rubbish floating on top of the water. Once we had swum through the worst of it, right by the shore, it wasn't too bad and there were loads of fish, with a shoal of about 1,000 tiny fish only about 10m from the shore. ...
