    ... day, beginning with an autograph session in the park. The session was scheduled from 9-Noon. I got there late, at eight, and the park was already full with a line beginning to wind up the street. I met some very nice people formerly from Buffalo now living in Colorado.     ... by visiting the site of the wagon box fight, just a few miles down the road. At this site some woodcutters and their escorting soldiers avoided Fettermans fate by forting up in some abandoned wagon bodies and fighting back with new fangled breechloading rifles.

    We cruised past Fort Phil Kearny, and did some geocaching along Lake DeSmet, north of Buffalo and then into town for some more geocaches. Good fun.
