    ... car bound for Courtney. Harrison wasn't great in the ride at first and was a little travel sick but after a while he was ok and fell asleep. after 3 hrs or so we arrived at the king fisher spa where they were booked in.     ... expect that we're returning later tonight. But as we drive, we start talking it all through.     ... up into Ucluelet Inlet and tied up at the "52 steps" public wharf at 3:15pm (a 27 mile day). In total, I have traveled 317 nautical miles by sea since meeting Dad up in Port Hardy.

    ... some bears and he was right - there were two! The first one we saw was quite a distance and I admired the old man's eyesight as it just looked like a black smudge on the rocks through my eyes. But then he pointed out the second bear, much closer to us and this one looked more like a bear to me.
