    The beauty of winter here in the high country is amazing. I try to capture it, as best I can, but even a "good camera" doesn't do it justice.

    I stopped at the Thrift Store in town while I was there. It's a regular stop for us. It's a nice clean place to find what I call good deals. The staff is very friendly too. I make all of my donations there when I find extraneous items at our place up here. I did pick up a couple of things, which I'll mention only in person. I really don't wish to reveal too much about my used-article buying habits. ...

    ... to have Cole Slaw. It's a rule...


    Got in a nice walk of about two and a quarter miles using the trekking poles to keep from slipping and sliding too much. Tomorrow an XC ski is planned through the Campground and on a bit of the lake to return. With the foot of snow, it should be perfect. I'll report back.

    Lynn and I got up here to our lake place last Thursday afternoon. I had had an appointment in the morning, but we got out before noon. Since we are closing up the place for winter, and snow was on the ground here, I couldn't bring the "Silver Bullet" van. It has no snow tires and is not front-wheel drive. I know that you get the picture. So, we brought both the Sooby and Lynn's Honda Accord.
