... that just made us not want to do it. We picked out another trail and headed there. We ended up at Sprague Lake and walked some of the trails there. It was gorgeous. ... the buns and sprinkled the seasoning on top and broiled them until they were browned. It was a feast!

Since I fixed the meal, Larry cleaned up which meant loading the dishwasher. I sat and wrote the blog while Erin read Entertainment magazine. It is a lot cooler since the rain. We plan to go to bed early tonight and get up even earlier tomorrow so we can be on Trail Ridge Road while the sun shines.

... as they could be; why I thought they would be more dramatic at the end of winter I am not sure but I headed of all the same. When I got there I basically had a view of a vertical frozen lake – no water visible and just a sheet of snow.

So you may be thinking that I did not enjoy all this snowbound hiking…you’d be wrong it was great and the views of the mountains, including Longs Peak, were just fabulous.

... close in a field by the park entrance but it was so dark you could barely see them. I could make out that one guy had a HUGE rack. I hope to see him in the daylight because it was so dark we couldn’t take any pics. I like this location for the hotel because fall River is a great entrance and you are really close to some good viewing locations. They even say the elk wander here by the river but I haven’t been blessed to see that yet. ...
