... to enjoy this in the rain. A short car journey later we arrive at what looks like a big barn converted into an adventure centre with different equipment for zip-line and different adventure activities. All equipped and ready to go our group is divided into two vans and we set off to the outskirts of Hawaii’s countryside wearing a helmet in the van was a good idea, getting thrown around by the terrain knocking my head off the van roof while Liv sits comfortable in her ...

Tom and I had a run about 8kms around a golf course pathway which, though hilly, was quite pretty though the heat sapped our energy a bit. Tom is seemingly in good form and I enjoyed his company. I was pretty tired from surfing all day, but I didn't want to let LJ down so I (somewhat) reluctantly went to the St. Regis.

The waves were soooooo fun today. Brendan and I went and chilled with Trav for a little while before going to Pinetrees, the spot on the North Shore in Hanalei Bay. I had so much fun surfing at Pinetrees. The waves reminded me of hurricane waves days in Florida...head high to a couple of feet overhead, with long, slopey lines. I was able to ...

... above sea level, and drops to sea level many times. Some sections of the trail are nary a foot wide and feature sheer drops to the ocean far below. The hike is included on many outdoor magazines' "Most Dangerous Hikes" list. Just the kind of trail I love! The dangers include spots where the very slippery trail becomes very narrow as well as flash flooding at the three streams that must be crossed. Also, many people have drowned swimming at Hanakapi'ai ...
