We got fed up of Bangkok and its smell of sewage so we decided we'd down to Phuket earlier than expected so we could head to the paradise island that is Koh Phi Phi. When your in Bangkok there are more tourist companies than guys trying to sell you Tuk Tuks and who are also more likely to scam every penny out of you so choosing the right travel company is essential.... So we checked some out got some prices from different agencies considered getting the bus, the train, the boat, a ...

That is another interesting topic that I will have to write about in ...

We were 3 hours away from the hotel with 60k of sea between us and mainland and 30 other travelling companions who wouldn't be into cutting their day short. It was a miserable 30 mins which we got over in the end. Then a lunch of grilled fish heads and super spicy sour chili salad. You can imagine how that was received. We chewed through ...

The Umbrella Caper

... the sky over the beach. They have a clever contraption to hold the umbrellas in place...simple and easy to use. It is essentially a piece of re-bar about 2.5 feet long with two metal rings welded to it....one at one end and the other spaced about 12 inches down the shaft. To place the umbrella they take the re-bar and wiggle it into the sand where they want the umbrella to go and once in place, they simply lift the umbrella pole and slide it ...
