... locally produced. We walked along the water, admiring the little fishing boats, all painted bright blue and yellow and green, each having a pair of eyes painted on the bow.
We made it back to the ship in plenty of time to dress for dinner. As we left the port after dark, the forts and walls were lit up. Simply magical.

I've just popped over to Malta for a day & a bit (as you do!) to say a quick hello / goodbye to my parents (and bring them lots of goodies over for the last time in a while).

The weather is a little warmer than the UK, but not as warm as it's going to be in a week's time (ha ha ha).

They are part of the same study unit so they pretty much go together. The professors seem pretty nice and I think the Contemporary British Narrative class might be my most difficult just because of the amount of reading I have to get finished with so much other stuff going on. 2 months if enough at work for us so we decided to take 2 days off and make a long weekend of it to visit Malta. A 3 hour flight gets you to the small airport in Luqa on the equally small island and there you meet the friendliest people on earth! Everyone is helpful and they speak perfect English. ... nothing has disappointed so far. Every place I have visited has met or exceeded my expectations and many times way over what I foresaw. I know it has something to do with Malta being the place of my heritage and the very earth that my parents, aunties, uncles and grand parents had trodden many years ago. I would see a building, road or feature and imagine my father or mother walking past there as a child, unbeknownst to them their son would be treading the same steps ...

... prehistoric artefacts possibly in the world, they had a special exhibit on China's Terracotta Soldiers. Holy ****. It was awesome. Not even a terribly huge exhibit, and one was definitely a copy, but still. How the hell they got these magnificent pieces of history out of communist China I'll never know. ... to create something like this. Next I went to Xliendi bay. Its a nice little bay surrounded by the rocky landscape which makes up much of Gozo and Malta.
