    ... and then cascade down the mountain side. This last hike was somewhat strenuous because of the altitude. Keep in mind that while the distances within the park aren’t great, the road conditions make travel very time consuming; the terrain is mountainous and the roads continually wind around the hillside, and your speed is also slowed by other tourists. For Mountain beauty and diversity of the vistas you cannot beat Rocky Mountain National Park.

    ... I've ever tasted. We priced houses and condos on the way home at ReMax... just curious... and are getting ready for our adventure tomorrow. We'll be headed to Rocky Mountain National Forest to hike a bit then spend the night in Estes Park. Should be a bunch of fun. I've heard that there is a lack of guard rails... again... but maybe I won't dig my fingernails too deeply into the dashboard this time.

    ... week off in years. Nobody seemed particularly enamoured with the state of the nation. A young mule deer was grazing around the camp at dusk, not fazed by humans at all. Drove slowly back up that steep road to the rim of the canyon .  Looked at all the lookout points we could, small walks out to the edge of rocks and overhangs etc. What an amazing place. Not quite to the scale of the Grand Canyon, but very narrow and straight down. The Gunnison carves its way ...
