We succeeded in that! Yay! We didn't have Sparky with us today to track the walk but we should have Sparky tomorrow. Watch for more photos and another note tomorrow. Keep in mind that while the distances within the park aren’t great, the road conditions make travel very time consuming; the terrain is mountainous and the roads continually wind around the hillside, and your speed is also slowed by other tourists. For Mountain beauty and diversity of the vistas you cannot beat Rocky Mountain National Park.

... Then came lightning. We sped back to our car. More lightening strikes, then more. Being back in the car 20 minutes later felt wonderful. We began driving. The Trail Ridge road from that point took sharp curves back down to lower elevations..curves without curbs. A few minutes into the curves down, a full thunder-lightening storm began raging. The road looked like a river. We saw lightning bolts that struck sideways, literally from one end of ...

I have four days until I leave for Costa Rica. I've never been to a Central American country aside from Cozumel, Mexico years ago. That was off a cruise ship and so I am looking forward to this immensely. I started doing serious research last night. I can't thank Deb enough for her generosity. This trip will be a huge reset for me. ...
