... We set off through the centre of the Island towards Wadjemup Lighthouse between a number of salt lakes. Some beautiful colours in the lakes and the samphire around some of the edges. We were sheltered from the wind and it was beginning to get really warm. The cycle crash helmet we had to wear, by law, did not help. Les went off to keep fit this morning so after breakfast Pete, Moira and I took a drive to Scarbourough., a lovely seaside town with a very long white sandy beach with dunes between the road and the beach. ... and Lucas take a well earned break to go camping in Albany celebrating a friends 50th. Their dog Elsa is gorgeous, but deaf ! So letting her off the lead is a bit risky especially as she likes chasing cars ! Luckily there is a safe dog beach just 10 minutes away.  She has already trained us to let her into the van whenever she wants company, by barking at the door, which is a bit odd considering she can't hear herself bark ...

... had a free ride to the beach. On disembarking I offered the change I had. He did not want it and explained that if we pay the full fare to the beach we can return within 2 hours for free. This is all very strange but seeing as we already had a free ride, it had no relevance for us today. It was nice to know the rules after weeks of using the busses. We stayed at the beach for about 4 hours and we had our last refreshing swim in the Indian Ocean. The sky was ...
