Les went to work today so Pete took us into Perth. We first visited the Perth Mint. We arrived in time to join a conducted tour but had just missed the talk on the history of the Mint. We thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the tour which included viewing the largest coin in the world. It is made of pure gold is 80cms in diameter, 13cms thick and weighs 1 tonne. At current price of gold it is worth 35,000,000 but is in fact priceless. It took 18 months to make. No photography is allowed in ...

Along with these I made a long rectangular box... wanted to buy a plastic wreath to stick on top... was told NO in no uncertain terms... Awww..



On top of all this there was the completion of the fit-out of the car which was being transformed into a Tardis on wheels..
