The young mom pointed us to a few other restaurants, so we walked further down the street.       ... we got was -25 degrees Celsius!!! But by these temperatures it is also cool to have an outdoor Jacuzzi experience.

      And yep, being this close to the mountains, I decided to take snowboard classes. Last week Wednesday I had my first full day class. Oops, that can hurt on the butt. But I enjoyed it and in the upcoming weekend I will go for another class.

      Saturday morning we awoke in Beautiful Colorado Springs. We didn't have any plans for the morning but at 3pm were had plans to attend a friends about 30 minutes west of Colorado Springs. We calculated the time and chose to leave in a timely matter. We were to arrive about 20 minutes early to The Lost Dutchman. As we headed West of 24, we came to a halt.       ... the same sleepiness, so hopefully we can overcome that for our 5:30 AM start tomorrow to continue our sightseeing. So far we've seen the Garden of the Gods, and tomorrow we will be exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park (with Seven Falls), the famous Stanley Hotel, and something in/at Denver.

      Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo

      After our trip to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center we opted to go to the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. That rodeo has been held for some 70+ years. I remember going to it several times when I was growing up while it was still held in the stadium by the Broadmoor hotel. These days it is held in the much newer Norris Penrose Events Center.
