    ... as they entered (Cameron entertained himself by making lists rather than making pictures - he's a practical kind of guy). Just before we left Santa Fe, we headed over to the Canyon Road and spent a happy hour looking at the artwork in the William & Joseph Gallery (we loved the stuff on display by Reid Ric******* and Marci Erspammer). Cameron fed the owners goldfish and I told the guy that he had lovely 'shop' - which I'm sure he bristled at, thinking 'philistine"!

    ... take us up to Pike's Peak which is about 14,110 ft. This is a ride of only 8.9 miles but the train must climb this very steep slope and so the ride up and down including a stop at the top of about 30 min is 3 hrs and 10 min. The train has a cog system so that it can climb ...

    ... in Vail to have a dinner...ribs served in the perfect way!
    Finally we were back in Colorado Springs at 0.30 am...a day of 19 hours!

    Sunday morning Pieter had to back. I dropped him off at the airport at 11.00 am. Time for me to take a little nap!
