Jamaica was my very first missions trip. I went with Shayna and Chad for one week and we had an amazing and eye opening experience. The water was beautiful and we went to ocho rios and climbed the waterfal too-it was so beautiful! We also witnessed poverty and need in ways that we had never seen before. We were able to minister God's love to people but honestly I think we all took away much more from this experience than we could ever give!

... kinda peeled with only the very outside skin taken off and it was cut in half. Didnt really have a clue what i was supposed to do to eat it. You can try and guess what they told me when i asked. after breakfast i ironed most of my cloths and me and my host mother went to church. I dont really know how to descibe the church i guess the best word would be loud. lots of singing lots of praise jesus lots of halelluja lots of amen, a few voleenters ...

... dont really know what im doing this weekend, going to spend most of it with the host family. Ill try to take pictures and post them on a reall website soon, hopefully ill get some of this house but i need to ask the host family first.

I got a ride from the airport to the upper town. After check in, I ventured in the city and was soon offered some "stuff". Oh well, no thank you. The Bob Marley museum is quite interesting and probably the only notable attraction in Kingston (other than this feeling of being in a different country).

... at 8am! Should be well on my way to achieving Goal 1 - achieving the perfect tan - very SOON!! Going to try get to the other side of the isalnd today - but speaking to the locals it is a long and treacherous journey - which I am not altogether looking forward to - should be cool when I get there though!

... off the boat. This announcement of canceling the crew change instantly turned the mood on the boat semi-sour. But eliminating the near shore work in Jamaica means that we will all get home earlier so eventually everyone made lemonade out of their lemons and the survey continues. It will be a bit disappointing to be only three miles from Kingston and not be able to see the city ...

We eventually negotiated to pay a little more with the agreement there would be zero excess required should damage occur.
