... now it is a barge pulled by a tugboat. Very interesting to watch the coming and going of the cars - three at a time. It is actually part of Rte 160. There was a continuous line of cars waiting to cross. Then it was off to dinner. It was nice to have a pretty relaxing day and we tried to watch the Royals game but only made it through the 6th inning - we are an hour later than home so that's our excuse. Another fun day and new and different sights. ...

When we named this blog the "Kouatly's Great Adventure" we knew it was going to be great, but WOW great is hardly the word for it! What a fantastic time together we had as a family. What wonderful experiences, sights, people, places and hikes we shared! Thanks be to God!!

This undertaking is not simply a getaway; it's a total relocation. No just grabbing your toothbrush and jammies in an overnight bag! Not only did we need to empty one large refrigerator/freezer and fill another tiny one, we needed to furnish a small kitchen, bath, and 2 bedrooms. First item on the agenda: the Nespresso machine! We are NOT roughing it - fresh espresso in the morning is just civilized. Next, enough homemade granola for 300 bowls ...

T-minus 1 week and there is lots of excitement and a bit of nervousness. Have we thought of everything we will need? Will we be warm enough? Are we CRAZY to drive 7000+ miles towing a big tin can behind us??

Time will tell of course but at least its reassuring that all we will need to do is pull into a Wal-Mart along the way to reprovision if we forgot something :-).
