... Then we happened upon "Art on the River" - a whole area filled with a wide variety of artists. We ate lunch at "Clingman's Cafe" and sat outside on a sunny patio - lovely! We spent the rest of the day exploring the artists' studios and meeting the artists. We returned home for a bit of down time and then a pot luck dinner with Jim and Sue in our NEW HOME. We have used Whitewater Express in Copperhill, TN for the Ocoee River. The picture in this entry is on the Ocoee. We have not tried ziplining, but The Gorge Zipline Canopy Tour in Saluda, NC comes highly recommended.

Then, after heading down a few feet, the wind was block by the mountain. I took a .6 mile detour to go check out the fire tower, well worth the extra hiking - some cool rock scrambles and great views up there! I almost lost my hiking pole, it fell down the side of a rock edge.....a ...
