At 5:45pm we went to meet my family for dinner at Papa and Beer's Mexican Restaurant. We saw my Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, 2nd Cousins, and Step Mom. My Dad was in route back from FL picking up the remaining of their household ...

Then, after heading down a few feet, the wind was block by the mountain. I took a .6 mile detour to go check out the fire tower, well worth the extra hiking - some cool rock scrambles and great views up there! I almost lost my hiking pole, it fell down the side of a rock edge.....a ...

... Aunt Dawn postponed going back to Florida so she could visit us, even though we all live down south. We had a nice lunch and visit together and I got to show them the wonderful sites of the KOA East. The Black Mountains are our backyard...it doesn't get much better than that!

Even though we will be limited now in the adventures we can have, we know we will still have a wonderful stay in Asheville!
