... of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life. I usually start my day at around 6:30 so I'm able to see the sunrise everyday, and in the Smokies the sunrises are magnificent. Me and Stealth were able to make it through the Smokies in 4 days and we are on our way to Hot Springs, North Carolina. 275 miles down, a lot more to go. ...

... the grounds at this place. All 200 plus acres of it. The house had 40 servants on staff at all times, has 40 bathrooms and a bunch of other stuff. It boggles the mind, to say the least. Why the Vanderbuilts of course....Next stop----Clio, ...

... settled in for the night. With a slight chill in the air, this promises to be a GREAT night of sleep - which I desperately need, after the last 2 nights of partying! Sunday April 6, Beautiful/easy 13 miles! The views were awesome, met some cool people and could not have asked for better weather :-) After arriving at the shelter, I found out the crew had stayed at the last shelter, only doing 5 miles......so they could finish off the moonshine they hiked in from Gatlinburg. So ...

    ... everyone is so talented.
Later in the evening we had a couple beers at Packs Tavern and then met back up with Mike and one of his friends and talked about our journey. We talked about what had led us to take the trip and what we had experienced so far. It was a very nice, calming evening because we knew that we didn't plan on riding the next day so we could really relax and enjoy our time in ...
