On the beach, there were several small areas cordoned off with sign saying that these were turtle egg laying spots! The sea on the gulf coast is like bath water....so warm. We spent all day sunbathing, but Jess was a bit careful as she burnt her bum the day before! In the ...

A travel blog entry by jeremy.steward on Jul 21, 2015

We set off from Clearwater, deciding that the gulf coast was lovely, and hoping for more of the same as we headed further south. Came back and spent the evening packing. Judy is leaving for SC, and we will go on to Naples on Friday.

... temps hit 67 this week so it's a short frolic. There is a bird sanctuary about 6K from here that has nice cycle paths through the woods. Tuesdays are 15% off days at Bells so we now have full snowbird wardrobes at 35% plus off for being "fabulous and over 50".
This week we motored up the coast to Indian Shores for a luncheon and visit with friends Glynnis and Trevor, who also winter here on the Gulf. They are more experienced and committed ...
